It's a science, dear children. One that has formulas, equations, and a right way and a wrong way.

Wrapping Christmas presents, dearest minions.

It's a science.

And the only science I have ever really enjoyed.

I know so many people who say that wrapping presents is one of the worst parts of Christmas. I heartily disagree. To me, there's little in this life more fun than choosing how you're gonna conceal a gift you chose from your heart for a loved one, to keep them in happy suspense and joyful anticipation. Finding fun shapes to keep their minds from seeing the obvious (books don't have to be rectangles, people!!) and using the science of gift-wrapping to explore your creative side (colour, texture, form, presentation as a whole) is SO much fun!! I've had people PAY me to wrap gifts for them because I love it so much :aww:

I know it's a bit early for stuff like this, but I'm home sick today, and needed something to do that didn't involve too much screen time, so I thought, Hell, why not?

That is all. We now return you to your regularly scheduled doldrums.

Thank you for the break from the doldrums.  You do know how to make me smile ;)

When I was a teenager, I thought shiny gift wrap was frivolous.  I wrapped all my Christmas gifts in newspaper.  But not just any newspaper.  It had to be the San Francisco Chronicle.  lol.
